Nature as a source of fascination

Nature demonstrably exerts a fascinating effect on people. Green landscapes with bodies of water are particularly relaxing. Nature is good for you, they say. We are drawn outdoors when we feel restless or listless.

To the stream, river, to the lake, iinto the forest.

for the FOREST WALKS. That's why the forest is so good for usOr even to the mountains. Instinctively. Afterwards, we usually feel better, more relaxed.

Nature also finds artistic expression in my work – in my paintings.

They are large-format images on a canvas featuring power animals, wonderful power places, and majestic, ancient trees.

Power places and power beings

I usually find my inspiration in the Black Forest countryside – in the Zastler Valley, on the Lindenberg or the Giersberg. Sometimes, though, it's also the high mountains in France.

A painting is created over several weeks, in stages. During this time, it gains more and more strength, and its purpose or function reveals itself. The high-quality acrylic paints are intentionally very vibrant; even pure gold is used. The mixture was applied to some key elements. The plant parts in the pictures are real and dried to illustrate the delicate structures.

My last large (190x160) work "Linden tree at the power spot" found its destination in the beautiful Family Center "Lindenblüte" in Vauban in Freiburgurg.

In the Image series of power places I would like to dedicate my work to trees.

Let's begin our exploration with nature itself, in a simplified way. There are some stones that seem to possess a soul. Similar to trees, they have a collective soul, meaning they are grouped together.

Some of them, especially those of Linden And oaks, through the strength of the group and a long, healthy age, are able to detach themselves from the group soul and become individuals, just like humans. It is a wonderful way of learning, but also very lengthy from our human perspective. Consider that for us humans, experience usually arises from pain. From loss, from the absence of something (health, mobility, sight). And so, experience on this plane might be that of feeling the elements, warmth and cold, wetness and dryness, or simply lying in the earth, wherever one may be, being part of the whole without being able to actively participate.

aura
Trees have an aura, much like us humans. If you are skilled at aura reading, you can use the same technique to perceive a tree's energy field. It's even more noticeable when you enter its outer layers. Just like with humans, some trees can be identified as unhealthy by their aura, while some of these old trees have a wonderfully radiant and expansive aura; it's usually the trees that seem to glow.

consciousness
Trees have a consciousness, different from ours, but you can connect with them. We humans often talk about hugging a tree when we lack something, when we experience suffering or pain. The next time you do this, connect with the consciousness of the tree you are hugging. Feel into it, and you can feel how it stands in the earth, deeply rooted, with its branches and limbs reaching up to its crown. It is possible to connect so deeply with a tree that you become one with it and feel what it feels, right down to every single leaf.

sunlight
Trees store sunlight, not just in summer when it regulates metabolism in their leaves. They can give us that light when we need it!

Enjoy the view!
